Kerbala Province. 8/10/2001 On the evening of the 14th of September 2001, one of the brigades of the Islamic Resistance units attacked the Baath Party's Al Hindiyah Centre in the Al Hindiyah (Tuwairij) District of Kerbala Province. Sources in the SCIRI Information Centre said, when they reported the news, that the attack, during which the attackers used automatic weapons and hand held (RPG 7) missile launchers, resulted in the deaths of three members of the Baath Party, and the serious wounding of two other members who were evacuated to hospital.

Baghdad. 18/10/2001 On the evening of the 24th of September 2001, An armed group from the Brigades of the Islamic Resistance have attacked the Baath Party's Al Aqeedah Centre in the Al Amanah District of the capital, Baghdad. When they reported the attack, sources in the SCIRI Information Centre said that the Islamic Resistance used hand grenades and automatic weapons in their attack. This resulted in the deaths of two Baath Party members, one of the latter being the hireling, Kamil Ali Shamil, a member of the Baath Party branch, and in the serious wounding of four more Baathis, who were evacuated to hospital. Our informants added that the attack inflicted serious damage on the building of the Centre attacked, so that its windows had disintegrated as a result of the heavy fire and the explosions of the hand grenades.
