The following was sent to the Turkish Embassy in Washington D.C. on 2 Sept. 2016.

Dear President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan,

I am opposed to the construction of the Ilısu and Cizre dams, and would ask at this juncture that these projects be cancelled.

Sincerely,
Eric Lindblad

The Ilısu project was initiated in 2006 during the occupation of Iraq, and consequently there occurred no consultation with the Ba'ath Party government in Baghdad.
